We would not be able to do our work without the support of volunteers, as you are partners and co-deliverers of our services. We need our communities to share our vision and take action to empower our scholars.
Volunteering for Boys Hope Girls Hope requires an application and interview, and most positions require a background screening. Click on the Volunteer Application to learn more.
WAYS TO CONNECT & SERVE
MENTOR
Mentors impact our scholars for life. Each scholar is paired with a caring and professional adult who offers guidance, trust, encouragement, and inspiration. Through a one-on-one relationship, mentors assist with life skills development, share experiences and expertise, while modeling positive values.
TUTOR
Tutors increase the effectiveness of our program by assisting our scholars in their academic endeavors and giving support and encouragement. Tutors meet weekly with their scholars in our homes to provide one-on-one educational instruction.
ACT Tutors are always needed!
SPECIAL TOPICS PRESENTER
Have a skill, craft, or passion for any topic you’d like to teach and pass on to our next generation? Come and share it with our scholars!
PROVIDE A MEAL
Sign up to provide a meal or groceries for one of our houses once a month. Volunteers can drop dinner off or cook and eat at the house with the scholars and residential counselors!
MAKE IT FEEL LIKE HOME
Help with household fixups, cosmetic improvements, and various other projects in and out of our Residential Homes.
Or volunteer your time and talents to help ensure our facilities run smoothly by handling supervising, administrative and clerical work, and maintaining function and order.
COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES
Let’s never forget our collegians! Help us to continue the love, support, and thoughtful gestures by curating and sending out care packages to our hardworking collegians!
SHORT-TERM VOLUNTEER
A variety of short-term volunteer options are available such as office assistance, community service projects, and more.
SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEER
We have muliple events throughout the year, and each has its own committee of volunteers who help plan and execute the events with staff members.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES FACILITATOR
Bring more culture and integration with the community to our scholars by coordinating activities our scholars could engage in to grow our minds, bodies, and souls while forming relationships within our city!
INTERNSHIP or PRACTICUM
Partner with a scholar or collegian to further their hands-on career knowledge and growth while also enhancing your own business productivity; win, win! Ask us if we have a scholar or collegian who falls within your area of expertise.
